The Twitter Logo’s Final Font: Goodbye to the Blue Bird
With the recent rebranding of Twitter to “X,” the iconic Twitter logo is no more. But for anyone curious about the font used in the classic Twitter logo, it strongly resembled the playful Pico Black, a typeface designed by Masayuki Sato of Maniackers Design in 2001. However, there was one modification—the ‘e’ in the logo was made to look more standard, unlike the more unique version in Pico Black. Interestingly, “pico” is also the Spanish word for “beak,” a fun coincidence considering the blue bird symbol.
As for the new X logo, it’s less intricate—it’s simply a Unicode character (U+1D54F).
